Superhero movies don't seem to be going away anytime soon. Let's take a look back at the awkward years of comic book characters being brought to the silver screen with three notorious comic adaptation failures, including the infamous, never-officially-released Fantastic Four movie produced by Roger Corman.

It's embarrassing that the 1994 Doctor Doom has a better costume than the one from 2015

"This movie did for feminism what Birth of a Nation did for equal rights," is the funniest comment I've ever heard. Wow....

Godammit You Left Me Outside Again

Stop the video... I'm starting to feel nauseous. Walks around and then steals channel Captain America style

It's hilarious how all four of the Fantastic Four films were made for the same reason of holding onto the rights.

Just gotta give Dr. Doom his credit. Watch the scene again, he does in fact draw the 12 with stage direction. 36:43

Fun fact: That "hunk" that Supergirl and Evil Lady were fighting over was played by the corporate bearded guy in Die Hard that tells Hans who John is and gets shot in the face.

I love how 30 years from now this same kind of discussion will be about Batman vs Superman, Suicide Squad, and still the Fant4stic

I'm from Slovenia and scenes from Captain America look awfully familiar (where Cap. America steal car and ''Northern Canada'' part). And then I check IMDb and, bingo, filming locations: Yugoslavia-Slovenia! LOL!

Wow, that Dr Doom costume is the best out of any of the movies.

Wikipedia has more on the Fantastic Four film. They didn't intend to release it when they started, but by the end they realized that they actually had something worth releasing. Marvel, though, got worried that the film would kill the franchise, and offered to pay a few million dollars to buy the film so that they could destroy all copies of it.

Awww...I grew up on Supergirl. I really liked it as a kid.

Now, I am single.

Stanley Kubrick's daughter was art director on Supergirl.  I don't know if this is mentioned in the video, but its interesting enough for the that to not matter.

The cgi figure of the Human Torch being hit by the ray beam is practically frame by frame rotoscoped from one of the Fleischer Superman animated shorts entitled "The Mad Scientist."  Even the camera angle is exactly the same.  It's at about the 7:50 mark in the version I found on YouTube.  Just FYI in case you want to look it up and compare.

The fantastic four movie, crappy as it is, looks like it would be a decent campy TV show.
