Very informative! Thanks.
Appreciate you didn't start with "whatsup" or play annoying music. Well done.

This is the best video ever! The on screen step by step procedures were priceless. Michael even shows you what problems you might encounter and how to overcome them. I know very little about computers and was considering buying a new computer with windows 10 already installed. I instead found his video and followed it to the letter and much to my happiness two and one half hours later my computer was running Windows 10. My wife thought I had won the lottery I was so happy. I might not have won the lottery but Michael saved me almost two thousand dollars. Thank you Michael.

This guide is absolutely perfect ! You just need to follow the exact instructions(maybe it is a MUST to have authenticated Windows already) and be a little patient(in my case it took around 4 hours to set everything right and ready to use).
Thanks and greetings from Greece !

Was putting off installing Windows 10 because I liked my 7 better, then the free upgrade ran out, and I thought "shoot, won't be able to use my comp after the 14th :( ". Then I found you!! Thanks Micheal Cooper, it worked like a charm!!!! Subbed :)

Well, I'll be trying this when I have an hour or two to spare. . . I have one computer running W10, and one running W7. . . . W10 does actually grow on you after a while, so I'll be giving my W7 a facelift! - Nothing lost if it went wrong because I hardly ever use that computer these days.

Many thanks, Michael, and I'll report back once the deed is done. 🐱

Well done. Very thorough and explained in a simple way. My computer is 10 years old and I am not computer savvy, this was a tremendous help.
Could you post more videos on how to navigate through Windows 10 and what some of the features are for?

Thank you Mr. Cooper for helping me with sorting this out. I have several pc's in the house with teenagers and all and cannot afford everyone to be upgraded. You have convinced me and I'm going to start on this tomorrow starting with the oldest one in the house and going one by one. This is the best video I've seen on YouTube on any computer issue and I love your style, your knowledge, and your delivery educating me.You have a new sub and I hope you come out with many, many more videos. Thank you so much for saving me so much frustration and money. Have a Happy New Year!!

Windows 10 forced me to do a security update. No asking "now" or "later". Just asked if I wanted to "save" or "delete" my data. I chose save! It shredded my Turbo Tax program and data, I was at the point of doing a final review of my taxes. I had just bought the new computer 5 days earlier because TurboTax was no longer supporting Vista. This occurred Oct 13 2018, and left me missing the extension deadline. I had only owned the computer for a few days and had not yet set up my backup drive. DO NOT USE WINDOWS 10! Soon I will abandoning it and moving on to Linux. And it did not touch anything else. WINDOWS 10 did not have the decency to move the turbo tax stuff to the recycle bin. It was gone. Sector by sector searches did find it. A company only makes that kind of mistake once, and I will forever be bashing windows. I'm not the only guy out there, here is a fellow youtuber with one million subscribers and his take on windows 10 with 350k views of this video. https://youtu.be/eTIySM6tfww

I’m attempting to update my 2010 Dell Windows 7 Spk 1 to Windows 10 for the second time.
First attempt failed and returned me to previous Windows 7.
After startup and logging in got the fail notice, Windows 7 restore notice.
I hope this second attempt works.
I did not note reason for failure.
Will take a picture for documentation purposes, if fails again.

Michael, I have confirmed (in Control Panel > System) that I have an activated version Windows 7 Pro installed on this ThinkPad Edge 545. However, It does not show a 25 digit Product Key.... It has a ProductID that looks like this XXXX-OEM-XXXXXXX-XXXXX. Can I use your instructions to install Windows 10 successfully?

EDIT: Just wanted to let everyone know it worked even though it had an oem Product ID.
