The purpose of the video is to show off recent low level kernel driver work, and work offloading from CPU, not a polished UI.
I've used Jernej's recent A64/A83T rotation engine work (https://github.com/jernejsk/linux-1/c...) to write a quick demo app that captures frames from the back camera, rotates them via a rotation engine, scales them to fill the 1440x720 screen and dsiplays them on the display with the correct orientation.
All this happens at 30fps with almost 0 CPU load and without using a GPU.
We drove these electric cars until they DIED!
