September 23 saw the release of Bob Iger’s memoirs, in which no end of interesting tidbits about the inner workings of Disney, Lucasfilm and Marvel were released. One of these interesting tidbits pertains to George Lucas, and his views on how Star Wars has been run under Disney’s rule. Famously, Disney rejected Lucas’ ideas for the sequel trilogy, but in light of recent failures, could they be more willing to entertain his ideas for the upcoming Episode IX?
In this editorial, @AndreEinherjar will detail what is known about George Lucas original plans for the sequel trilogy, how he responded to The Force Awakens upon its release, and if there is any chance his influence could still be felt in the upcoming Rise of Skywalker.
