Ah Lord, I remember the good ol' days with that treasure chest. That was my first view of you and I then subbed on the spot!

assuming it looks like the economy will recover, it would be good to switch into real estate and dividend paying stocks when the DOW/gold ratio is around 3 to 1 or less. That's my plan anyway. If it doesn't look like the economy is recovering in any meaningful way I will just hang on the the precious metals and maintain my purchasing power.

honestly, no I wouldn't. I would recommend still keeping them there at your place and just hiding it well. I will do a video soon on hiding things.

I WAS saving my money. I was saving it in gold and silver. Why would I want to hold cash? if I'm holding money, it is going to be in gold/silver. Why would my need to sell it eventually make it suddenly a good idea to hold cash? I began saving all my money in gold and silver several years ago, long before I decided to open my own business. In that the time my precious metals holdings have increased by over 50% in nominal terms. That wouldn't have happened if I was just holding cash.

If you asked me that a while back I would have said to mix it up and get some of both, but with the fake gold bar scare recently, I would now say stick to 1 oz rounds. With silver it probably isn't as big a risk, and I do have some 10 oz bars, but with gold I wouldn't go any bigger than an oz. I honestly don't think they risk of counterfeit bars is very high, but it can't hurt to lower it even more. For silver I really like 90% us coins, and for gold I recommend 1 oz bars in assay cards Als

Would you recomend purchasing small denomination pieces? 1oz and smaller bars and rounds. Or larger pieces?
