GE launched #balancetheequation and since then GE Aviation employees around the globe have been dedicated to creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace. An important component of #balancetheequation is community outreach, and getting girls excited about entering a STEM field. As part of GE’s commitment to engaging girl in STEM is an initiative called “Year of the Girl”. GE Aviation partners with Girl Scouts of Western Ohio to bring together STEM professionals and girls in the Cincinnati area. Girls do fun STEM activities in after school programs, day camps and events at GE. Girls work alongside great role models employed at Aviation.
